I am a researcher, entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of Melon, a geospatial
intelligence and data infrastructure company building the systems that help
organisations understand what is happening on the ground.
My work spans more than fifteen years of research, impact measurement, data
systems and development practice, with governments, development finance
institutions and businesses across Africa. Before committing fully to entrepreneurship I led
impact measurement across clean energy portfolios in Africa.
That work kept surfacing the same problem: decisions about people, markets and
communities are routinely made without reliable, contextual data. Melon is my
answer to it. I care about the intersection of data, technology, artificial
intelligence and development, and about building infrastructure that makes
reliable information accessible and useful across emerging markets.
